Important Wilsonville Planning Commission meeting on housing


On Wednesday, September 8, 2021, beginning at 6 pm, the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the Middle Housing in Wilsonville Project.

We encourage you to speak up by doing one of the following actions:

  1. Attend the meeting and speak during public comment

  2. Email city staff with your comments by September 7

To have your written comments or testimony distributed to the Planning Commission before the meeting, it must be received by 2 pm on Sept. 7, 2021. WAIC statement on equitable housing

For more information, please read the WAIC statement on equitable housing which identified the following gaps:

  • The need for affordable, multi-room homes to support multi-generational housing, especially for Black, Latino, Indigenous, and people who identify or are perceived as a racial minority

  • Single-parent homes and their need for affordable housing that is connected to jobs, transit, and services

  • Low or fixed-income individuals and families, and their need for homeownership

  • People in need of emergency, transitional, or supportive housing
